Wicked Garden
This piece was born out of a dream vision I had that came to me during a period of great frustration and anger. I awoke at 4am on a random Wednesday morning when I saw a vision of an archangel walking through a apocalyptic landscape.
I reached an emotional breaking point.
I was seeing red.
I needed an outlet so I started throwing paint, smearing paint, scraping the canvas, and letting out the pent up emotions. Once I caught my breath and took stock of what I created, I started my healing journey.
I meditated on the dangers of being around people with wicked agendas looking to destroy those around them. I through about how trauma begs trauma. But most importantly I thought about breaking that cycle of trauma, and how focusing on kindness and radiating love has tremendous power to heal, grow and nurture the soul.
The lotus flower represents the rebirth I felt at the end of making this piece.
